Discover has released the details for the Q2 2016 category, for April, May, and June of 2016.

So far, the 2016 categories are exactly the same as 2015. As always, you’ll earn 5% on up to $1,500 in spend. And for those who are enrolled in the Double Cashback offer, it will end up as 10% back at year’s end.
The restaurant category is a nice category to get 5% back, and certainly to get 10% back. See also Best Credit Cards For Restaurant Spend.
Freedom and Dividend
As a reminder, the Citi Dividend 5% card is offering 5% on Home Depot and furnishing stores in Q1 2016, and at drugstores in Q2 2016. The Freedom card is offering 5% on gas and transportation in Q1 2016, and at the grocery in Q2 2016.

How do you spend 1500 for the Restaurants and movies category for MS?
love your blog...need help with figuring out how to pay ca property taxes over $20k. was looking for some credit card that can cover the 2.1% fee to use a credit card. does the discover it give the 2% cash back?
i have never had a discover card....which would be the best card to use to pay the property taxes?
Discover it Mile gives 3% back for the first year.
I was worried about them changing the schedule to match the Freedom, like they did last year (more or less). But, they didn't, so now I'll get two quarters of 5% back at restaurants!
Yup, always happy with multiple months of 5% back at restaurants.
