Our Verdict
I wasn’t eligible for this one, but judging from the Slickdeals thread, it looks like more people are having success than are not.
It’s a great time now to stock up on Amazon gift cards and rack up an extra $5 credit, for one of three reasons:
- Amex Offers: $15 Off $60 on Amazon!
- Chase Freedom Will Earn 10x on Amazon, 11/23-12/31
- Discover Q4 2105 has Amazon at 5% (along with department stores and clothing stores)

I don't usually qualify for such Amazon offers, did this time, used it with Chase Freedom so this became 15% off.
I had left a couple of hundred dollars unused on the Freedom 10% category waiting for deals on gift cards. I figured I'd buy regular Amazon gift cards by year's end if nothing better came along.
I qualified but $5 is too small. Not gonna bother. I've already used all my Amex offers and no chase cards that have Amazon bonus
Is it possible to do a $120 load instead of $100, and then split payment so we can use up 2 AMEX cards in one shot?
The terms are vague on this point. I'll guess that it will not work.
I was able to stack this with the $15/$60 amazon amex sync offer. I already got email from amex that I used offer on one of the cards. This is perfect timing since I still have 4 of this offers to use by the 31st and 3 amazon accounts qualify for the offer. Thanks Chuck!
