Hopefully this isn’t a sign of things to come, Google Express is already killing the referral offer and now a 20% heavily restricted offer? Not good, especially when they have had 25% off sitewide recently.

I think the goal was to get people in with these incredible deals to use the service. Except without these coupons the prices are pretty crap on google express.
Agreeed. Mediocre electronics prices even with discount. Better off holding out for eBay 15-20% off coupon.
To me GE only value is with heavy items from Costco when sitewide 20-25% off. Even then you’re only really getting about 5% off warehouse price but at least you save the driving and the shlepping of heavy items
i think GE is going downhill fast, especially after pulling the 25% early without warning. BUT i don't agree with criticizing about a restricted 20% offer - anything is better than nothing. no one is obligated to give us 25% off all the time, and if it only happens every few months i'll be happy.
I was more criticizing about going in this direction. We saw something similar with eBay selling gift cards. It started 20% off and could use ebay gc, then discounts were reduced to like 6% then ebay gc didn't work anymore etc etc.
