The Offer
- Paramount+ is offering discounted membership:
- One Year Of Essential ($29.99)
- One Year Of Premium ($59.99)
Our Verdict
Worth considering as the Paramount+ promo codes seem to be less frequent. Can also stack with an AmEx offer for another $12.99 off.

Aside from the moneymaker angle, live TV, and maybe sports coverage--I really don't see why anyone would want to ever pay for a full year of this. Paramount+ still isn't generating enough new content to justify being a subscriber for more than a few months at a time.
It's good if you're a Star Trek fan. Has all of Star Trek, Sunday NFL games, South Park, and UFC starting in 2026. Star Trek alone makes it worth it for me, and if you're a UFC fan, this is a huge deal. It's my most watched streaming platform.
Every new season of Star Trek takes less than 3 months to watch. Unless you like rewatching old episodes indefinitely, there's no need to be subscribed for a whole year just for Trek.
There are also significant gaps in between new seasons and new shows where there is nothing to watch. Even UFC doesn't have new content all year round.
The reason is that the average consumer would rather pay for something that's already free than have to spend brainpower to consider the alternatives.

Offer not valid for customers who can't read the terms and conditions.
Capital One Offers also has $13 off right now
Those with Amex offers might be able to stack the two and get $26 off total
What showtime shows can you watch for the $30?
Try googling something once in a while.
I don't endorse being someone's personal AI boy but this is useful information to include.

It sucks they never have deals including Showtime. As far as I can tell, you can't even purchase Showtime by itself without the bundle. Showtime through other apps like Hulu and Amazon is too pricey (usually $10.99/mo).
It says the 59.99 plan includes showtime. I always got it with the premium when I was using the monthly codes.
Yeah, I see that, but I'd rather just buy Showtime by itself. They used to have the option to buy it separate, but everything's bundled now.
There was a deal around Christmas or New Years where you could get it for 2 or 3 months for $1.99 a month but that's the only decent deal I can recall on just showtime, and just a limited time.
If you buy the annual PP+ premium for $60, it’ll be Showtime (plus paramount) for $5/mo.
That's been the case for a long time now. Paramount Global already tried Showtime as a standalone streaming service and sunset it two years ago in order to reduce overhead and to drive subscriptions to the pricier Paramount+ bundles.
The only way to get any form of Showtime now is as an add-on to another streaming service.
Verdict: not as good as the Black Friday deal this year will be
signed up for a free 30 day trial 1.5 weeks ago and cannot get streaming to work. terrible service. don't bother
Used to be a crap app on AppleTV box for me, freezing and stuff, but only when it first came out. The past couple years have been solid on the service.
That sounds like a you problem. Maybe get someone younger to help you troubleshoot your Internet connection.
Paramount doesn't buffer like other services (Netflix) does. On anything but a new phone or perfect internet I would have problems. You can have a great picture on Netflix and Paramount be glitching like crazy.
Problems have been minimal for me recently. Either their service isn't as bad as it was a couple years ago or my Internet is better now.
We have been enjoying Paramount+ for about 2+ months now. I signed up when they were having $0.99/month for 2 month summer sale and there was $10 cash back on Capital One Shopping.
When I tried to cancel the subscription yesterday, it gave me one month free so I stayed.
We don't have any streaming issue with Paramount+. We have Xfinity for internet.
This is the same price that I get when I upgrade to ad free thru my walmart plus subscription that comes free with my amex plat
These are terrific for the boomers who have never been able to figure out how to use free monthly codes. Thanks!
No working code for free premium right now.
.
It seems like the codes might be over, the last one didn't work for the ad free tier. I heard they were just using them to bulk up subs until the merger. I'm horrified by the thought I might actually have to pay for this service after all this time.
Boomer skill issue?
.
It's annoying to have to change email addresses to get the free codes to work and needing to re-log in with different creds each month.
