Roku Express + Hulu $29.99 For Four Months ($4.99 With AmEx Offer & Money Maker With More Stacking)

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Hulu are currently offering a free Roku express ($29.99 on Amazon) and four months of Hulu for only $29.99.

The Fine Print

  • This offer is available to new subscribers only.
  • Valid until March 15th, 2017.

Stacking The Deal

If you can stack all three offers, you’ll get a Roku Express & 4 months of Hulu. You’ll pay $29.99 upfront and then get back $25 from American Express & another $10/$13 from Plenti. For a profit of $8 + the Roku express. You should also be able to get an additional month of Hulu for free by pretending to cancel. Obviously there is risk involved that none of the stacking will actually work, so I wouldn’t recommend this deal unless you’re comfortable with potentially paying $29.99 for Hulu & a Roku Express. Please share your experiences with all of this in the comments below.

  • Thanks for posting this. I know there's been some discussion about reducing the amount of "deal" posts, but I'm glad you shared this one. I'd been on the fence about trying to use the Amex offer, and thought it was effectively too late now, since with monthly billing, the $25 in charges wouldn't post in time. But with this deal, it charges the $29.99 immediately, and then I promptly got a notification that I'd used the deal and had the $25 credit pending, plus, getting a free Roku in the mail. Good deal! I couldn't find a way to stack the Plenti sign-up offer, but there's a smaller Plenti offer for 200 points for linking your first device, so that's effectively another $2 back to make it a little sweeter. The repetitive commercials on the basic Hulu plan are annoying, but, four months of service plus a Roku for almost free, hard to beat that.

    • MH - Via gift cards at least, yes. Buying extra Hulu, Netflix, Amazon cards are handy when Kroger runs 4x fuel points for example.

  • My SB bucks was confirmed immediately after purchase by clicking Swagbucks home page offer link then DOC link.

  • If you use the Plenti link to sign up, how do you get back to the Roku offer? Do you have to do the same thing as mentioned in the SD with changing the link?

  • In my experience, Swagbucks never post on their own unless the reward says "Swagbucks awarded instantly" or "Swagbucks listed as pending upon completion." Otherwise I need to contact support every single time. (No I'm not doing anything stupid like using an adblocker).

As such, I'd never do a SB offer that didn't precisely follow their link and instructions (as I always need to claim them by support messages late). And if I recall, their link takes you... somewhere else and doesn't give you a free month the first month. Still a moneymaker but unlikely to be eligible for SB if you do a different link.

  • I used am amex offer and got the bonus points already but it doesn't show up as used in my annex offers list.

Can I take another go at it?

Have people successfully double dipped in Amex offers on the same card before?

  • Thanks for the post! :-) thats 2 now from me! Hehe. I actually got 2000 swag bucks! Posted within 10 minutes! Think I might go ahead and order a 3rd or 4th before it gets shut down! It was so nice to find this since the billing date for hulu was the 7th and the amex offer expires 2/4. I had so many offers to use! Gotta say I have a lot of happy people now!!! Might resell the spare roku's but with the imminent release of comcast app I just might need them!

I think you need 2500 swagbucks to cash out, theres plenty of ways to get more daily. As well as a shopping portal too, they are on cashbackmonitor!

    • Same question as William Charles. I'd already signed up for 2 months of basic service, then tried to do the $29.99 roku deal with a new account (same Amex), but Hulu says I'm already signed up for the basic plan and I'm ineligible for the roku deal. Maybe they track it to be one account per cc?

      • Yeah no clue on same amex. It would be ideal to have another offer on another amex. Have had luck that way.
