Our Verdict
The American Express Platinum card normally earns 1x on all purchases, you could look at this offer as a sign up bonus of 135,000 points after $15,000 in spend (as you’d earn 1x points on the base spend). But realistically it’s better than that as you’d still receive 10x points even if you didn’t hit the $15,000 spending requirement.
Some people have been able to get similar offers to show online, either through the American Express pre-qualified checker or by using CardMatch. I highly doubt that this offer will show on either of those portals (especially without the exclusion language). Keep an eye on your mail I guess. If anybody receives this offer, let us know in the comments as to your thoughts why you might have received it.

Interesting. My wife was target for the 150k business platinum signup last year. We didn't bite at the time. maybe we will get a similar offer again
Does this come with the 40k signup bonus as well?
So you'll hold out for 190,000 points instead of 150K ?

A) It's 175k instead of 135k. The base spending 15k isn't a bonus.
B) I've gotten 200k Sibyl signup bonus from amex (although for the biz plat, not personal).
