The Offer
Bank of America is sending many people an email offer:
- Product change your existing 3/2/1 or other Bank of America card into the new Unlimited Cash Rewards 1.5 card and get a bonus of $200 after spending $1,000 within 90 days.
No application or credit check necessary.
Our Verdict
A lot of people have a number of these 3/2/1 cards sitting around – assuming you aren’t using them this is one of the easiest $200 you can make. Well worth considering even if you do use the card some.

I have 4 cards, two in my name & two in the husband’s, so $800 bonus. Thinking of trying for more, but recall they had a similar card a while back with a $150 bonus after a $500 spend. Think they declined more than 4 cards. Has anyone gone over two per person on these?

This is interesting, I don't think I have ever paid tax on a Credit Card Bonus in the past. @chucksithe
If they send a 1099, you have to pay taxes.

Did the bonus post for anyone?
I just logged into the app and it prompted me to product change one of my Customized Cash Rewards. Not sure which one though. One of my Customized Cash Rewards is getting the +2% bonus through end of the year, so I closed out of the offer before accepting. However, now I can’t find it again. I wonder if they’ll send another round of emails out. This is the first time I’ve received this offer.
So can we keep using our old customized cash card until we get the new card. My BofA online says unlimited cash with the same last four digits of my customize cash?

Why would BoA product change without your consent? Do they want to get #MeToo?
I applied from my CC online in the product section and was immediately approved for a 26K limit. I can't see much use for this card besides the bonus, but I'll take the easy $200 and keep it in my drawer.
They sent us a spate of the $200 offers for switching from one hardly used card to another - for just a $1000 spend - easy money! Send a few more B of A!
Spent $1000. Mostly Costco, 100% rebate Top Cashback. $200 pending. Time to milk other banks.
they switched me to a vanilla 321 card from the "ABA" card without notification.
they'd formally notified me before swapping the "MLB" card with vanilla 321.

no. they simply mailed me a new card. nothing changed besides the removal of ABA branding.
