[Targeted Offer] Bank of America: Product Change With No Credit Pull & Get $200 Bonus

Update 11/18/21: Another physical round went out for upgrading, these were sent out for both the personal Unlimited Cash Rewards card and the Business Unlimited Cash Rewards card.

Update 8/20/21: A physical mailer is going out to some people with this offer as well. (Previously there was an email round that went out.) Hat tip to reader XenaWP

The Offer

Bank of America is sending many people an email offer:

No application or credit check necessary.

Our Verdict

A lot of people have a number of these 3/2/1 cards sitting around – assuming you aren’t using them this is one of the easiest $200 you can make. Well worth considering even if you do use the card some.

We wrote about the new Unlimited Cash Rewards card in a separate post; just wanted to highlight this signup offer separately so people don’t miss it.

I received offers on both the Business Cash Rewards and personal Travel rewards. I waited until both new cards came in the mail before I started spending. Completed the $1000 spend on the business version, statement closed, received regular rewards but no $200 bonus yet. My past experience with BOA is that the bonus tends to post as soon as you hit the min spend?

Has anyone received the $200 bonus on these upgrade offers yet?

I had the exact same experience. My comment downthread was from December 7; it’s now been another week and I’ve continued to spend on the card, but still no bonus. The cash back from individual purchases is continuing to post just fine. But still no bonus. Really dreading having to call BofA on this because their reps are incredibly clueless.

FWIW I have received the $200 on the personal card now, but not on the business side.

I still haven’t gotten the credit on the business card after meeting the requirements.

Same here. Completed spend on 11/30, no bonus from business version yet.

Same here. Still nothing.

Nothing here either on the business card.

Still nothing on the business side

A little annoyed and mystified because I was targeted, met the terms, and my statement has also closed (though historically, BofA cash back always posts after the transaction posts). No $200 bonus yet.

Did you get your business bonus yet?

No, I didn’t, and as I predicted, BofA customer service was no help, giving me the old “8-10 weeks” line.

Received the mailer today for both myself and P2. Seems like an easy $400.

do product changes start a new account with 0 history or does the credit history carry forward?
anyone done this offer and checked their credit history?

PC does not affect age of credit, so credit/payment history carries over with PC.

Got the mailer
Mail says there is /b no foreign transaction fee /b as well as the 200$ bonus
Product switch is from travel reward
Seems like a no brainer to me
any1 else got this?

My mailer didn’t mention “No foreign transaction fee”, and I’m worried about losing that benefit if I switch as it’s on my current grandfathered card.

Davis This card does have a 3% transaction fee. I product change mainly to get the bonus.

I got email for the switch offer. Email also stated “no foreign transaction fees”. Yes, it will be no brainer in that case and can convert points to cashback. Below is the text from email.

• You’ll continue to enjoy no annual fee or foreign transaction fees.

not targeted 🙁

I did it on the first round, then did a PC back to the customized cash because I actually leverage the 3% category

How easy was the PC back process?

I use my Cash rewards card as my main card since I do mostly online purchases. Wonder if I can easily switchback after completing the bonus.

Yes, I did this. It was a couple of months later when I did the product change back, they gave me no trouble over doing that. Note, I did mine on the first round of this offer, maybe Aug/Sep timeframe, and I just product changed back this month.

A 1.5% card doesn’t really have a place in my strategy, so it was nice to get the 3% category back as I find it useful.

picture seemed weird. it talks about Unlimited Cash being World Mastercard, but website says VISA
