Got the bonus email. Don't see any minimum $ for the DD requirement. I'll drop $50 a pay check for 5 months for shits and giggles... and a $50 bonus
Does anybody know what works as DD on Stash. AFAIR, they're SUPER picky.
I got an email about restarting direct deposit but it says nothing about a bonus.
P2 received the same email you received. I received the bonus one ;)
Same here. "Let's try this again--restart direct deposit". No bonus offer. Boo.
I honestly don't know why I bother keeping the service. I have a whopping $120 in stocks there, half of which came from the periodic #stashparty events. I pay $1/month. 🤔
Put that $1 bill on a Cap1 or Discover card you don't use, see that $1 disappear magically ;)
🤦♂️Never even thought of that. Thanks. Just changed to my seldomly used Discover. It gets some use one quarter of the year usually, but that leaves 9 months of free Stash! Now I can #stashparty!
How is this "free" if it still winds up being a $1/month charge that you eventually have to pay off? May not be right away, but the monthly charges don't just disappear. Or am I missing something here, like you just expect Cap1 or Discover to absolve the minimal amounts due before closing your account due to inactivity (in which case, I would never recommend doing this)?

Yeah, I'm all about being $lick, money savvy and such, but I'm not a proponent of this. How many dormant CCs do you need to have and what is the actual gain? Ridiculous to me and a hard pass as a method for avoidance.
Well, stash parties are the reason to keep it. Pay $1, get around $2-$3 worth of stocks per month.
Plus for me, I only do index funds for my retirement stuff so seeing individual stocks makes it "fun" somehow.
You are not wrong about the fee being offset by the “parties.” It’s just sometimes I forget the time or miss out entirely. Reflecting on it I think it’s a lot of “work” for factional stocks. But the work to get out seems more! So, I just keep partying. 🤣
Got this. Didn't see any mention of minimum DD requirement... May drop $50 per pay check in here for a few months for shits and giggles...
