Inspirus Credit Union offers a Visa Signature Card which earns unlimited 2% cash back on all purchases and no annual fee, nor foreign transaction fee. There isn’t any signup bonus on the card.
You can apply for the card in branch or online. Membership to Inspirus Credit Union is available to those from Washington State; live, work, worship, regularly conduct business, or attend school. On the credit card application it seems to accept any address, including outside of WA state and even if you don’t have a member number. But we’ll assume for now that you must become a credit union member to get approved for the card.
Aside from being another 2% fee-free option, the most interesting thing I see is that the card has no foreign transaction fees. I’m not sure if there are any 2%+ cards that have no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee.
Another thing to note is that the card has cell phone insurance, but it’s only $250 coverage with a $50 deductible, so not much.
2% cards are a baseline for what rewards you should be getting, and they are increasingly common. We’ve even seen the bar jump to 2.5% with the Alliant card and the USAA card, though both of those come with strings attached – USAA is military only and Alliant has a $59 annual fee.
