Our Verdict
Might be worth getting the One Key+ for the sign up bonus. I don’t see a lot of value in keeping the card(s) long term as usually the savings are overstated and booking third party means you miss out on elite benefits/elite night credits in most cases. Read these things everybody should know about Wells Fargo before applying and we will add this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.

Double check you download all statements before closing.
Closed my card after the AF posted. Rep said the AF will be refunded. Other than the AF I didn't have any transactions or a balance on the card. Card disappeared from my online login when I looked back a couple days later. This is in contrast to WF bank accounts which hang around for a few months after closure.
@2 Offer ends on Aug 5, 2025 not 6th.
FYI Expedia OneKeyCash can be very hard to use! Didn't find out til my 2nd (well failed) redemption! https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/1merglw/frustration_friday_weekly_thread_week_of_august/
Notably, Auto rental collison is PRIMARY and this is one of the only no annual fee cards that give primary rental insurance (the other being BILT).

I signed up for the Expedia bonus a few years back and got great value, thanks Doc. I think it was a 1k bonus then. I got two cards with my wife for 2k and bought 5* all inclusive in Mexico for 5 nights between the two cards. I also sign up for the checking and savings bonus at the same time and if a bank has a second card do that too. I call it a bank heist. With parter the bank gives you close to 2 or 3k. Anyone saying points are worthless doesn't know what they are talking about. I have traveled for free with a family of 4 since 2018 thanks to these posts. I was in Mexico all inclusives with no cash out of pocket THANK YOU DOC!
Yes "a few years back" using the program seemed more attractive, but this is One Key now not Expedia.
I had planned to get this card when a high bonus came along, expecting to burn points on a regular annual summer VRBO. However they already changed this fairly new program, and I don't like the 18 month expiration policy either.
Do you have the new card and like it? Or are you just happy about the old Expedia card from years ago?
Points are not worthless obviously, it's just that there's much better value to be had with other similar AF cards at the moment - think IHG Premier and Bonvoy Boundless. Unless someone is over 5/24 or in Amex PUJ, I don't see why they should apply for this card.
Also keep in mind that you had the Citi Expedia card which was wildly different from this Wells Fargo version. The annual credits were way easier to milk on that one.
I got this card last month was approved for $300/$1k but than got a letter stating either the offer was declined or I was declined for the card after I already got the card and activated it. I called them and of course they are clueless.
I got one as well despite being approved. I think if you start the application (which starts with a pre-approval check) and you don't submit the application in that same swing or it times out, then they send out that letter. It doesn't really seem to mean anything though.
Yeah I have a bonus tracker too unfortunately only $300 but oh well.
400/600 doesn't go that far in US or Canada, in Asia or Europe you better book accommodation using trip.com - better price, more options.
Agoda for Asia
Even Agoda works well in USA too. i booked a bunch in Vegas
Agreed, in my experience Agoda is usually the cheapest option for smaller hotels in Asia.
can a person hold both the no af card and the af card?
i already have the af card going on a year but was wondering if i can get the no af card now?
I think you can product change after a year but it doesn't seem like you can have both at the same time. T&C:
"You may not be eligible for this product if you currently have an open One Key or One Key+ Mastercard or Hotels.com Visa Signature account."
Bonus dipped to 300/400 for a month or so then was just increased back to 400/600 within the last couple days. Got the regular One Key, CL of $12k. Despite the nuances with rewards redemptions, it seems useful as a keeper card considered 0 AF, 0 FTF, and strong travel benefits including primary rental car CDW (rare for no AF cards). Not to mention strong earning rates for common categories and Walmart/Target coding as grocery. May consider a PC eventually if I'm comfortable with the OKC system -- the + card's annual $100 OKC covers the annual fee, and compared to the regular One Key, it's an extra 0.5% on other purchases + additional benefits like free price drop protection, Global Entry/Precheck, and slightly better discounts with automatic Gold status.
I have the OK. I have used the world elite MC to secure Hertz president circle. But I have found after the demise of Discover price drop protection in 2019, it has been to get a claim approved any of the VISA or MC benefits center, Primary rental CDW is great but the OKC is somewhat super rare to get a deal on. Only Delta filghts are eligible and most hotels are cheaper elsewhere for me. I will likely close my OK+ at anniversary. CSP at effective $45 is value for me.
Do you have experience booking rental cars with OKC? That seemed like the best redemption option since you can partially cover the car cost with OKC whereas with flights the OKC must cover the full sum and not all carriers accept it. Also regarding the flight price drop protection with OK+, this is still through Expedia as a benefit of being Gold status, no?
No, I only use my credit card for rental cars because the CDW terms require the charge to be on the card. I use OKC for Delta flights.
Regarding your second question, I haven't used it, but Gold and Platinum still offer price drop protection.
If you do a dummy booking you get $150 statement credit after first purchase and $150 key cash if you value cash more.
Edit: It doesn't have to be the booking itself.
I'm LOL/24 and 1k line and am never going to use it after bonuses. The key points are useful to me somewhat.
I don't see the $400/$600 bonus for my account sadly only the standard $300/$400.
