How do you liquidate them?
Treat it like regular spend. Still beats 1.5-2% on non-bonus spend. Trying to liquidate is too much of a hassle.
This method of liquidating via organic spend is so underrated. If you can buy the MCGCs at 5x using a CIC card and use it for organic spend it is essentially like getting 5% off on all your purchases and not have to worry about which CC to use. Of course if there is a method to dump them easier then go for it but not everyone has that ability to do that depending on your area.
Toss a few cards in to your Cuisinart, set it to "Pureé" and pulse for a few seconds.
Don't forget to wear eye protection.
Works even better if you shred them first
Is ODOM having their mastercard GC sale this week as well? Their Visa sale just ended yesterday and I'd rather shop there and get the Dosh offer.

I'm assuming you mean Wal-mart :) But yes the MCGC do work in Wal-Mart, you just need to be quick to hit cancel before it goes through, and then hit debit. If you're doing split-payment, make sure to swipe and hit cancel, and only THEN ask the cashier to split it for $200.
In GA it was Visa that was fee-free, not MasterCard.

I would stay away from Mastercard as much as possible. Will sit out this promo.
Any particular reason? Ever since the Mastercards switched from US Bank to Metabank (same as Visas have always been), the fraud issue is completely gone. So what's the difference?
I am assuming it is related to the way the card numbers and CVV pairs are generated, making the cards harder to crack.
BTW, do Metabank MCGCs require the Change Payment trick at WMs?

Why?
I bought 5 this morning, they did not work for buying a MO at Walmart or Publix but they did work at Kroger. I will not be buying more of these Mastercards, Visa's have been fine, MCs are such a pain.
Are you aware of the change payment trick someone else mentioned above regarding MC debit at WM? You should be able to find the specifics with Google if needed.
Have to sit this one out, don't want to cycle CLs on my CIC cards, and they've been used pretty much to the max with the current VGC promo.
