10% in eBay Bucks
There’s also a targeted offer which many have received (including myself) to be able to get 10% back in eBay Bucks on 3/25-3/26. That could make a great combination with this Sears offer.
Also remember that there are lots and lots of other gift cards on sale on eBay, which we wrote about yesterday.
Our Verdict
These are great for Sears/Kmart purchases. It could also be an arbitrage opportunity, except that these are e-gift cards which are harder to liquidate.
If you didn’t get targeted with the 10% eBay Bucks, it may or may not be worth it to buy in order to resell. If you did get the 10% targeted offer, then this Sears deal and some of the gift cards we mentioned yesterday can become profitable resale material.
Of course I already bought a few gift cards yesterday with the regular 2% eBay Bucks. Oh well, I’ll have to make some more purchases today to take advantage of the bonus eBay Bucks Offer.
Deal Scenario
- Pay $170 for $200 in Sears gift cards.
- Resell them to giftcards.com for $169 or to CardCash for $158. Net loss of either $1 or $12.
- Pay with INK for 5x (hopefully). Net 850 UR points.
- Go through portal for 1.5%, or $2.55.
- Get 10% back in eBay Bucks, or
$10.70$17
All told, you’ll profit $18.55 plus 850 UR points under the giftcards.com scenario. And $7.55 plus 850 points under the CardCash scenario.
There are lots of other options using the other gift cards on sale currently, such as Jiffy Lube and Applebee’s.

I called re the "irregularities" message, the rep told me to use a different browser or clear my cache of cookies. I was dubious but tried it on my phone instead and two transactions went through fine.
i tried this and still got the error message sadly
:(
Kind of obvious but the third possibility she mentioned was a mismatch in cc info.
Interesting. Thanks, I'll have to try that.
In for 2 sears, headed there later for a visa. Debating the Staples, haven't tried getting a gfc with a gfc for a while.
Yeah, they say it's getting harder and harder to buy gc with gc in staples store.
i'm having a hard time selling these codes to giftcards.com. after i enter my cc info, i get "We're sorry, but our system identified some irregularities with the information in your submitted information. For security purposes this sale transaction has been canceled."
anyone knows why that could be?
I am a bulk Seller with Giftcards.com, I encounter same problem lately in last 2 to 3 days. I need to talk to them and find out what irregularities they are finding. Did you send a lot of GC to them like me? I sold quiet a bit of same retailer to them.
KP, I get these "irregularities" always with giftcards.com. I think they see that the card was just activated so they're worried about fraud. Maybe if you wait a week it won't be a problem.
This is just a guess.
Could be bulk sellers don't get these issues usually.
I don't think that's the reason. The gift cards I was selling were Macy's which I had bought almost 15-20 days back. In fact, I just sold them 10 Bloomingdale's GC just in 10 min of receiving them in email, and it went ok. But I am sure, the reason regarding "irregularities" is some sort of "fraud prevention" algorithm their software runs.
Yeah, I always get the 'irregularity' thing.
I'm sure its different for bulk sellers and non-bulk. As a bulk seller they don't verify with CC everytime I sell. I am not sure, but I got "irregularities" error only 2 days back when I sold 50 count of same face Value CG instead of just few of them. May be it triggered something. They were not very friendly to non-bulk sell.
But I wonder if these fraud prevention differ for bulk sellers and non-bulk. Did you see any more ease after becoming bulk?
not really... just three regular sears gift cards and that was about a month ago... that's all.
not sure what their problem is... :(

Do ebay bucks targeted offers come in your ebay inbox or personal e-mail?
Both, but you need to sign up to agree to get spam from ebay, then they'll start sending these.
