The Offer
- Jet.com is offering a bonus $10 Nike gift card when buying $50 Nike gift card
The Fine Print
- Max
104 in an order.
Our Verdict
The $60 for $50 deal on Nike gift cards comes up from time to time at various retailers. Sometimes it comes as a single $60 card, other times as separate cards. Sounds a bit more that this one will come as one card, but hard to say for certain. Keep in mind these are physical cards up for sale.
What’s especially interesting here is that a lot us have a $25 off $125 Amex Offer. If you order $180 in Nike for $150, you’ll pay just $125 after the $25 Amex Offer credit.
If you have the Amex Offer, the deal could even make sense for resale (GCW 82%).
Two other stacking ideas to consider:
- Shopping portal – no idea if gift cards track, but I guess we can try. Typically portals don’t matter much since they are just a couple percent, but if the Swagbucks 10% comes through it would make for a nice deal
- Acorns offers 5% back, hopefully that’ll work on gift card purchases
Promo codes don’t work on gift cards as I understand.
There’s also a grocery deal of $15 off $50 on Jet.com currently.

As someone commented in the original Jet.com Amex offer post, my fourth order was cancelled and I received a vaguely threatening email about having my account shut down as Jet.com does not allow reselling. I called and was advised that for the duration of the Amex promotion they are imposing a limit of 8 gcs per account. Very annoying as had that been clearly indicated I could have done it that way.
Appreciate the data point. Quick question though. Was your account seasoned?
I placed two orders of 3 and I might leave it at that because I don't want to deal with fallout.
I have occasionally bought things prior to this, though not much. I did have an existing account, that I had used, prior to the offer.
This 8 card limit is what I'm consistently seeing mentioned, so though no guarantee of course if you stick with it I'd guess you'll be ok. 3/4 of mine went through (at 8 total). Plus the rapid ordering of 3 Nike gc/order was doubtless a red flag.
I was thinking of making/using an alternate account to try to use that last card for a gc order, but honestly they seem surprisingly aware of what's going on. Miles Per Day had a relevant post on that very subject. http://milesperday.com/2017/07/jet-com-limiting-8-gift-cards-amex-offer-promo-period/
How long after your purchase was your order cancelled? I placed some orders last night and am now worried they will all be cancelled or even worse that they will ship part of an order and the Amex Offer won't trigger.
The following day.

Amex offers don't apply automatically anymore on most purchases. Don't fret!
Ibotta (referral https://ibotta.com/r/spfbmbc ) has now 15% off of Jet.com + $2 bonus of using their new "app purchase" that possibly can be stacked upon
I'm seeing 3% on ibotta. Your's is probably a targeted, one-time offer.
I bought $130 worth of items off Jet.com for the AMEX offer but Jet.com is charging my card for each individual item, not the total transaction. AMEX offer didn't trigger. Anyone else have this problem with Jet? It's my first time buying from them.
I have bought $125 Gift cards and it is been two weeks since the transaction but the offer is not shown as used. I am wondering if any one in the same situation.
We had the discussion in the original post that it is okay if we did not receive the used offer email but after 14 days I am worried on how to resolve the issue.
I have used the offer on two cards from the same account. For both cards i didnot receive the email.
Thanks for the info, guy.
Turns out an item I purchased was "cancelled" because of lack of inventory. So I'm short $100 or so. Gonna try to buy something else and see if the AMEX offer works.
Terms say one or more transactions. Did the jet offer last year and they broke the charges up but offer still triggered automatically
The AMEX offer should work with one or more transactions.
OOS Already
Wow, that was fast.
