  • American Express has three offers on the business platinum. One is public and the other two are sometimes showing when using a referral link in incognito mode.
    • 250,000 points after $20,000 in spend three months
    • 200,000 points after $20,000 in spend
    • 150,000 points after $20,000 in spend + $500 back after $2,500 airfare spend in three months (public link)

Card Details

  • Annual fee of $695 is not waived the first year
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 5x points per $1 spent on purchases made with airlines or hotels booked directly from AmericanExpress Travel website
    • 1.5x points on qualifying purchases of $5,000 or more
    • 1x points on all other purchases
  • $200 airline incidental credit per calendar year

Our Verdict

This is not as good as the recent 250,000 + $500 offer. But comparable/the same if you weren’t planning to do the airfare spend on that offer. This still has lifetime language so can’t do it again if you’ve already done this bonus. Please make sure to check your offer before applying as 250,000 isn’t showing most of the time. We won’t add this to our best credit card bonus page for now.

  • I have gotten the 250 to show up 3 times now, but each time I click it (logged out) it says the offer is no longer available. No problem with proceeding to the 200k application.

    Confirmed 8/6/25 someone applied, any data points of 8/7 or is this donezo?

  • Always 175k for 20k spend for me no matter what browser I use. :( I also keep getting the mailers but they seem to max out at 150k. Am I just unlucky here? I ain't applying until I see that 200k++ though.

  • I got 175k MR for $10k spend last year. I hope I can get something like that again for the tax season…

  • Got a mailer with this 250 offer yesterday. Addressee already has a BP (as well as a PP, a Gold Business, a BBP, and an original BCE). Still thinking. Expiration date is 9/17.

  • I'm going to assume this isn't likely, but will ask anyway: I'm halfway through my $20k spend for 150k points promotion that was targeted via a mailer at me - is there any chance AMEX would match the 250k? I've had success with Chase in the past but am assuming AMEX is not friendly to this, can anyone confirm?

    • Unlikely, AMEX does not match bonuses, even if the change was one day. The reps are very adamant that you signed up for a specific offer.
