Andigo Credit Union and Consumers Credit Union have announced an intention to merge later this year. Readers of this blog will be familiar with Andigo from the frequent checking bonuses offered (currently $500 checking bonus) and consumers credit union from the 4.59% APY account. Because consumers credit union is only in Illinois as well this unfortunately means that it’s unlikely that the bonuses offered by Andigo would become available in other states and the consumers credit union high yield checking account is already available nationwide.

Andigo customer here. Received my Consumers Credit Union debit card today, and a 40-page full-size booklet for the transistion this weekend...
Has anybody found any gotchas into allowing the conversion of your account? Any good reasons to keep the account?
Andigo members voted to approve the merger with Consumers Credit Union at the special membership meeting held on April 9. The necessary regulatory approvals to proceed have been received. The merger will be effective June 1.
Didn't consumers have a charity you could donate to to be eligible? This post says Consumers is only available in IL, but I never stepped foot in IL and I had the rewards checking account for a while...
Hmm hopefully this fixed Andigo's cash advance problems with CC funding
I applied for an Andigo account last month, filling out their forms, talking to their reps on the phone, linking my bank acct, etc. and subsequently I was denied. I guess they are Chex sensitive or maybe just incompetent. I would avoid this credit union (YMMV).
Didnt CCUIL downgrade their high yield checking into oblivion? I remember cancelling when they became the worst 3%
