• Chase Travel is showing a property in Aruba for $700 a night but Hotels.com is showing it for $400 a night. Checked Chicago, since I'm going in December, all three properties I was looking at are more expensive. Other than for redeeming points and now these Chase Travel Portal credits, why would anyone use the portal?!

• Approved, last bonus received 12/1/2021 (43 months).

• My wife applied over two weeks ago. Her account was showing pre-approved but the application through clicking that button wasn't working. So she applied in the normal application. Email after applying said "We'll review your Chase Sapphire Reserve Card application and be in touch soon. "

• I did a PC on my CSP to CFU on 7/16 and lowered the limit on a couple of Chase credit cards in prep for applying. Applied this morning and got the we need to review your app message. Two hours later, got an approved email.

  • I lowered one of mine to be safe but also got a huge credit line. A week or so later I got an alert on my credit monitoring that my CL was lowered by Chase, not by me. Weird.

  • They gave me a $31K limit so maybe I didn't need to lower any other card limits but I read DPs of people getting denied because of outstanding credit so better safe than sorry.

• DP: Applied 7/16 through referral link. Got dreaded “We need to review your application” onscreen message and email. Next day received electronic letter saying I was declined due to: 1. Too many active accounts or too much available credit on consumer report; 2. Low usage of Chase credit line(s).

  PC’ed CSP to CFU on 7/10 (CSP opened Nov 2021, under 48 months for SUB).
  3/24; 867 credit score; 6 Chase personal cards, 3 biz.

  • Update: Called recon 7/18, agent asked if the salary inputted on the application is correct, told him it's actually somewhat higher. He said I can shift some credit from other cards to have enough for 10K minimum on new CSR. Did so, approved. New card to be delivered expedited in 1-2 biz days. New card showing immediately in my account.

• Has anyone seen pending points for referrals made that first week? I had two that I referred and nothing is showing yet, usually is about 2 weeks. Wondering if they changed their timing and taking the full 8 weeks.

• Made the mistake of cancelling my CSP instead of downgrading. How long should I wait before applying? On my dashboard, the account is showing closed, but not sure if that's good enough

  • I cancelled my CSP on 7/2 and was approved with no pop up on 7/9. It was open for four years, but I was still within the 48 month window under the old rules.

    • Have you seen bonus tracker in your app yet? I was approved 7/15 and my card is showing in the app. Though I can’t see bonus tracker.

  • May take a month vs about 5 days if downgrade.

• Anyone know when this offer will expire? We're under 48 months since last SUB on the CSP. August and September of 2021. Maybe slide an app in to see if PUJ will let me know if I'm not eligible? Or is that too risky?

  • I applied roughly 3 weeks before officially meeting 48 months and was approved after review. No PUJ. Might be worth a try?

  • @guest_2095657 While I don't know when it will expire, not sure anyone does, I can say I applied about 10 days short of my 48 months without a problem. That was 10 days short of the charge that got me the bonus, not the statement date. The most denials I've seen are from those that have a Sapphire or it hasn't cleared the system. There is this thread with a positive less than 48 month DP.

• I'm a little confused on the travel credit. So is it $500 instead of $300 for the first year? Or is it an additional $500?

  • Both, 300 can be used for travel and get an auto credit, but 500 must be used in chase travel portal and used all at once or lose the rest.

  • I dont have this card yet but my understanding is that they are separate credits. And the annual travel credit ($300) applies to any travel spend including outside of Chase's travel portal

• Just got the following snail mail, about 2 weeks after applying, not getting pop up for holding CSP, and then instantly denied. Now IDK if I should app again or not.

  When we ran your Chase application on June 2025, we may have incorrectly declined your application. Please rest assured that this will not impact your credit bureau report.
