[Dead] Get Free 6 Bottles of Wine from Nakedwines.com with Amex and Topcashback

Update 1/13/2019: Seems like this deal is now dead as Topcashback is offering 20% back instead of $25.

You can get 6 bottles of wine ~free from Nakedwines.com with the $25 off $50 Amex Offer deal, plus $25 back from Topcashback. We wrote about similar stacking opportunities in a previous post to get a terrific discount on 12 bottles – that option is still possible as well.

  • Topcashback offers $25 back at Nakedwines.com for first time customers.
  • Amex has an offer for $25 off $50 which some of us have saved to our card, valid through 1/23/19.
  • Topcashback has a special link to click which gives you a special introductory price with $50 off your first 6 pack.
  • I’m seeing a price of $39.99 for the 6 pack. Others are not seeing that price, YMMV.
  • Depending on taxes in your state, add a wine tote for $6.99, a wine bag for $9.99, or a Nakedwines gift card for $10 to bring yourself to the $50 Amex threshold.
  • Another option some mention is the “Passport to South Africa” for $52.99; you’ll end up with a total cost of $2.99+tax after the TCB+Amex return. Or you can choose any six bottles which cost $16.99 each which will bring you just above the $50 threshold.
  • Get it as close to $50 as possible, and you’ll get $25 back from Topcashback and $25 back from Amex. Bring your total down to $0 or close to it.
  • (If you aren’t interested in becoming an Angel, be sure to decline the optional ‘Angel’ subscription which costs $40.)

If you’re new to Topcashback, consider signing up using my referral link.

  • TOPCASHBACK is denying the $25 off new customer purchase with Naked wines ........they are the worse to deal with should have stuck with ebates.

  • I filed a claim with TCB since I didn't get credit for this, and they sent it over to the merchant, but they responded that it was invalid since I did it through "another marketing channel" wtf?

  • My TCB did not track properly for this one. I submitted a untracked claim for TCB and got back that it was declined for using another marketing channel...but I only went through TCB, and I don't have any kind of extensions that would invalidate this.

Pretty disappointed that merchants are allowed to do this. In the end, 9 bottles for ~$3 each, is probably fine, although I wouldn't have ordered it in the first place if I didn't think I was going to be getting them for almost free.

  • This tracked properly during the purchase, but now shows up on TCB as Declined:

"This transaction has been declined, meaning the retailer feels that it is not eligible for cashback. Unfortunately we aren't able to look into missing cashback claims for this retailer."

I am confident that my purchase fulfilled the terms and conditions. Do we have any recourse here?

  • Did anyone have trouble with TCB tracking this offer? Mine did not track at all. And since Nakedwine is now not on TCB any more, I cannot even lodge a claim with them.

    • My TCB shows $25 payable in 14 weeks. I just took a screenshot to be on the safe side, just in case TCB forgets, LOL.

Did you try submitting a ticket to TCB with screenshots?

    • Same problem. My order was not tracked on TCB, and nakedwines has been removed from TCB so TCB won't process my claim even after I filed a support ticket.

So basically I paid $33 for the "Passport to South Africa" six-pack, which at less than $6/bottle isn't horrible, but I am never using TCB again after this experience.

      • I was going to say that the wines that nakedwines ships are $6-8 bottles that one would pay in the grocery store. So you broke even.

    • Mine didn't track either so I immediately cancelled the order the next day before it shipped and got my money back, didn't want to run into the same problem you did.

  • Seems to have disappeared entirely from Topcashback.
Befrugal.com is still offering $10 cashback though.

  • My haul came out to $5.03 for 18 bottles of wine. Yes, 18. Nakedwines.com accidentally duplicated my order and sent me two boxes of 9 bottles each. Now I don't feel bad about missing out on getting a second order with P2.

  • I had a $20.19 referral offer on my TCB account so I referred P2 who also had the $25 NW offer on his Amex Gold card. Ended up with $25 TCB x 2 plus the $20.19 referral and only paid less than $12.
