I got burned a couple times by Ford dealerships on their $50 gift card new car test drive promotions... not worth the time or hassle if you don't actually get rewarded.

From what I've read previously, the usual problem is the salesperson who takes your information at the dealership fails to submit it to the third-party promotion company in a timely manner.
