Tried to do a couple of sets of $100 cards today at an Acme store and the guy at customer service said he had to get his manager's approval. The guy comes over and claims that their district manager told them that they are not allowed to take credit cards for purchases of more than $100 of gift cards! I told him that was ridiculous and I've never had that problem at other stores in the area, but they would not budge. I left them with 4 cards that I had torn the strip on, so they'll have to toss those. Then I tried a second store, and they had a single register open with several people on line and no one at customer service to ring me up, so I left. Will try a different store tomorrow when I got 2 sets the other day.
I suppose I could have done the 2x$50 cards at the first store but I haven't been bothering with those since it's not much of a MM.
So is there anybody here who buy money orders with mastercard giftcards? I tried to purchase one today and it was not going through. I have been successfully purchasing them with visa giftcards for the past few months and this is the first time with mastercard. Not sure if there is something different I need to be doing.

I am in Chicago area, am able to load it up on Jewel's just 4 u site. But when I go to store, It does not take it off. I have to go to CS and after the run around and hassle, the CS Mgr does a manual credit. What am I doing wrong? I have it clipped on my coupons. TIA
