[DEAD] Working Link for Chase Sapphire Reserve $450 Annual Fee

JonLuca found a working link for the Chase Sapphire Reserve with a lower $450 annual fee.

Direct Link (login required)

The annual fee on the Sapphire Reserve increased from $450 to $550 around a week ago for new applications, so it’s nice to see a link with the lower fee still available.

Note: no signup bonus shows clearly at the link. Presumably, the standard 50,000 points offer will be attached to the signup. Even if it isn’t, you can presumably get the 50k bonus ‘matched’ and attached to the account.

I assume all regular rules including the 48-month Sapphire rule and the Chase 5/24 rule apply to this application. In my view there isn’t much risk in using a backdoor kind of link like this, but it’s never certain how a bank will choose to react.

  • the only reason these super secret accidental links ever get out, from chase or elsewhere, is because the # of card apps is declining and not meeting their forecasts. Let me translate: people aren't biting on the new CSR at $550. Seriously, how many new apps do you think they got, on their website or in a branch, since they upped the fee with those questionable perks? It's literally a whisper.

You are talking about a very, very tiny percentage of the population willing to fork out $550 for a credit or charge card. Very small. And that demographic has nothing to do with income or fico. Platinum apps average 680 FICO.

CSR will be merged into CSP within 2 years. It's over.

    • I have been thinking the same. Actually, Amex made this clear for me. I saw how Amex kept giving away Hilton card upgrades like candy for few months, increased sign up bonus for those cards and then "accidentally" zero fee Aspire gets leaked and they don't deny anyone and don't charge the fee. This is Amex we talking about, who claws back $5. So I know they leaked it themselves, because sign ups for Hilton cards were declining rapidly, especially after Amex axed gift card method for credits.

  • This is the last chance. I strongly suggest everyone to open multiple accounts in their family name, pets name etc.. AA fiasco was citi. This is chase. So no problems. Besides the bank never said you can't open a credit card in your pet's name. So you should be ok.

    • Yeah, using this link is totally fine but this other link is a crime against humanity and chase will push you dearly for not knowing the difference. Clearly anyone using this link should be damned to hell

  • 100 in savings for a card with specious benefits added to justify the enhanced fee...the fee that will apply in full the subsequent year. I would gather most people that qualify for this card would not be swayed. If your intention is to ride this for a year and jump ship, why not take the higher SUB and lower AF CSP? Has anyone actually signed up using this link? I think most of us are savvier than the regular consumer, doesn't move the needle for me and I doubt it does for most of the readers. Feel free to prove me wrong though
