[DEAD] Working Link for Chase Sapphire Reserve $450 Annual Fee

JonLuca found a working link for the Chase Sapphire Reserve with a lower $450 annual fee.

Direct Link (login required)

The annual fee on the Sapphire Reserve increased from $450 to $550 around a week ago for new applications, so it’s nice to see a link with the lower fee still available.

Note: no signup bonus shows clearly at the link. Presumably, the standard 50,000 points offer will be attached to the signup. Even if it isn’t, you can presumably get the 50k bonus ‘matched’ and attached to the account.

I assume all regular rules including the 48-month Sapphire rule and the Chase 5/24 rule apply to this application. In my view there isn’t much risk in using a backdoor kind of link like this, but it’s never certain how a bank will choose to react.

Is that Chase Sapphire 48 months rule for the bonus still applicable?

presumably you may get banned for life… but hey why not post some random links

Honestly more the reason to say screw chase if that happens.

Actually, I think your opportunities to screw them will be gone at that point… perhaps for your lifetime.

Amex will take you with open arms. They have. Better customer service anyway

AceTen

Yea, amex rat team says hello. Amex will take you with open arms then clawback $5 due to their own coding errors a year after your account has been closed as evidenced all over reddit and myfico. Or they will mass-slash limits due to overextending themselves as reported on other forums extensively. Amex is nothing special, I would not be rushing to fanboy a company like that.

AMEX: We’ll float you a substantial amount of money, in some cases for free, give you great perks, points, credits, offers, benefits, and customer service all for the exchange of you using us to make the normal purchases you would make.

This guy: They took $5 back from me because I added the same offer for Armstrong garden center to 3 different cards. I HATE AMEX and anyone that has the gall to state they have good customer service. I mean, I spent THOUSANDS on Visa Gift Cards at the end of DECEMBER to hit a SUB and they shut me down!

amex gets the same swipe fees on giftcard purchases as other purchases, so why should they care if you buy giftcards or new televisions at best buy? if amex denies the bonus, then they get to keep the swipe fee revenue but pay nothing. seems kind of screwed up

manufactured spending where you are only do purchases in bonus categories at a loss to amex you could see why they wouldnt like that

meeting signup bonus spend and ongoing manufactured spending are two different animals

They don’t really care about day to day MSing but SUB essentially loss leaders. And MS on SUB essentially makes it too easy for people to obtain the bonus which loses them money

AceTen

They took nothing from me, I do not have an Amex card. I am just tired of all you fan boys who think AMex cards make you a better person. But you do you.

MrObvious

Because Amex *never* raises an annual fee. I recommend you go refer yourself for a few new Amex cards today, fanboys! See if their great customer service will help you figure out the clawbacks.

Yeah, I’m not going to risk it and potentially get banned from all of Chase.

Posts like this are doing more harm than good.

Link is working but it doesn’t bypass 5/24 due to variable APR.

Chase should just hire that guy, he would earn them a lot more money as a white hat churner

My annual fee posts on April 1st every year. So does that mean I’ll be charged with $550 fee ?

G

This question has been asked many times and the answer is still yes. Chase said 4/1 and onwards is $550.

100 in savings for a card with specious benefits added to justify the enhanced fee…the fee that will apply in full the subsequent year. I would gather most people that qualify for this card would not be swayed. If your intention is to ride this for a year and jump ship, why not take the higher SUB and lower AF CSP? Has anyone actually signed up using this link? I think most of us are savvier than the regular consumer, doesn’t move the needle for me and I doubt it does for most of the readers. Feel free to prove me wrong though
