[YMMV] Chase INK Cash Cards To Earn Higher Rewards Rates Due To Email Error (5/27-7/1)

Chase sent out an email today that they’ll honor the higher rewards rates sent out erroneously in a prior email on a temporary basis (5/27/25 – 7/1/25). Interestingly, I didn’t get the prior email and still got today’s email, and it might be that these increased rates are for everyone. I marked it YMMV in case it’s targeted.

The temporary increased rates give 3%/3x for Gas Stations, Restaurants, Hardware and Home Improvement Stores. There is a $25,000 limit on the bonus rate.

We recently sent you an email that included incorrect cash back earn rates for your Ink Business Cash account. We apologize and will honor a temporary, modified earn rate as shown in the chart below.

The temporary earn rates below will apply to purchases made on your account ending in 1234 between 5/27/25 and 7/1/2025, with a purchase cap of $25,000.

You will see the additional cash back rewards posted to your account within 6 to 8 weeks from 7/1/2025.

Beginning on 7/1/2025, you will continue to earn as you always have. Details about your card’s cash back and points can be found in your Rewards Program Agreement.* They are also included below for your convenience.

  • That's nice that they're offering the enhanced earning for the next few weeks... but if one has multiple credit cards, this offer just allows consolidation to a single card.
There are lots of 3%, 4%, or even 5% cards for fuel.
There are cards that offer 3% to 5% on restaurants.
The hardest one to match is the home improvement, but there are a few cards. (Chase used to offer an Ink variant that paid 3% on home improvement.) The elevated limit of up to $25k might be useful to some.

    • usually, i would agree. but pple already abuse this card at 5x office and chase is clearly tolerant. the mistake 3x is also included in the $25k cap, so this is really not important news except for anyone that cares about 3x home. which would be stupid since u could just do 5x office and buy GCs for home depot.

  • Wow I didn’t get either email. I’m sad that 7/1 is so close, there won’t be any opportunity to maximize
