  • Should I do the Schwab or the Morgan Stanley? I'd likely consider the MS long-term over Schwab as I have no assets with Schwab. I'm guessing chasing brokerage bonuses is more valuable than the Schwab $200. If I could park $10M at Schwab, I'd probably choose that one long-term though since they'd pay me to keep it.

  • Sigh. I've never had a personal Plat, yet still getting PUJ for this. (Yet I could go get another NLL Biz Card from another post. Silly)

  • Authorized users have not been three for $195 for years! It’s $195 each.

  • How exactly can you get annual fee waived/reduced?
I have a charles swab investor checking and brokerage acct. ??

  • Don't think this is valid anymore (Audible and SiriusXM were deleted from the credit) - "his is a credit of $20 per month and can be used on Peacock, Audible, SiriusXM and The New York Times."

  • So about 25k difference vs the current best offer (175k offer seems dead from looking at the other post). Could be worth it for the flexibility, very worth it if you have huge assets as Schwab and can get part/all of the AF waived.

      • I mean if you had the money just sitting in another brokerage without any special benefits it's not the worst deal. Even the 1 mil helps tip the scale a lot. None of them apply to me and probably never will though.

        • You're absolutely right, I'm just being snarky. There really is a dearth of benefits at most places for having a high balance in passively managed index funds. There's a sign up bonus, BOA preferred rewards and Smartly at US Bank and not that much else that really matters

Need to update the AU section since they changed the AU price structure. $195 per AU

  • Don't forget the annual appreciation bonus.

    Annual Schwab Appreciation Bonus‡
You can receive: (1) a $100 Card statement credit if your qualifying Schwab holdings are equal to or greater than $250,000 and less than $1,000,000; (2) a $200 Card statement credit if your qualifying Schwab holdings are equal to or greater than $1,000,000 and less than $10,000,000; or (3) a $1,000 Card statement credit if your qualifying Schwab holdings are equal to or greater than $10,000,000, in each case when measured following Card account approval and annually thereafter. Terms and limitations apply.‡

    • Mortgages also count from what I remember, so if they offer a competitive rate, getting the $100 statement credit can be pretty easy actually! That was my plan for when I purchase a house and then just using Amex cards as cash back into a brokerage if kids end up becoming too much to handle.
