Our Verdict
Great for just about anyone since you can order Sam’s gift cards online and use them at Walmart or Walmart gas. I believe there is a 10% fee for non-members when ordering online, though, so not super useful if you don’t have membership.

I don't have this SamsClub offer, but I got a 'Spend $50, Get $10' from Walmart.

Please double check your offer first. I got a Walmart offer as well - but it is Walmart Grocery. They do not sell gift cards through Walmart Grocery.
Yes, you can use Sam's GC at Walmart and vice versa.
But I think the offer you're seeing is for Walmart Grocery, not Walmart itself.
Bought some 3rd party GC's and did not get the usual instant email from AMEX. I'll assume everything is OK but I wonder why no instant email.
I did a similar Samsclub deal on my account last year for which I did not get instant email. However, I received the credit within 2 weeks. It is weird they send out emails for others but not Samsclub.
I examined the terms, didn't see GCs excluded, so bought a $50 Sam's Club physical GC. No instant email. Not going to worry yet though.
