Reddit user Amex_Fangirl received an offer for 40,000 points on the Chase Hyatt card, what’s interesting is that this is showing an end date of August 31st. This doesn’t mean that this offer will expire on that date (Chase recently did something similar with the United Explorer card and continually extended the offer). This is a common marketing tactic to try and create urgency to get people to apply and something we also see a lot of in bank account bonuses.
Even if you are interested in this card and offer you should go for the dummy booking offer that also offers a $50 statement credit (and listed on our best credit card bonus page). If the 40,000 point bonus does expire, I expect it to be replaced with another point bonus (maybe 30,000 points) rather than the old two night offer but that is purely speculation. It’s entirely possible that Chase wanted to test a points based offer for a period of time before reverting back to the two free night offer.

Just got an email offer today with the same terms/offer, although my application page doesn't show an expiration date.
Hoping it's a combination of points and free might certificate
Is Hyatt part of the 5/24 with Chase?
No. I'm 22/24 and got instantly approved for Hyatt last month with a ridiculous limit.
so I think it would be safe to apply before then, if the bonus increases after 8/31, you can get a match, and if it decreases then you got the good offer.
30k hyatt points would be a pretty weak bonus...
