    • I wouldn't compare it that way, since you can't use miles to buy anything you want. It's more like the old-time company scrip. You live in a mining town and get paid with tokens that are only good in the town store.

  • My partner is from another first world country and in their country.. they apply online and normal processing they receive their new passport in the mail in 3 business days.. the total cost is about $30 USD.

    When my U.S passport got destroyed earlier this year accidentally and i need a replacement.. I had to spend $150.. drive 100 miles to another town that had a USPS with an available appointment time.. pay an extra $80 expedited fee.. and then wait almost 3 months to receive the new passport in the mail. It's a disgrace.

  • So who is going to be the first issuer to offer a passport credit every 10 years, now that you can presumably use a credit card to renew it?
