  • Called in earlier today for the Amex Platinum compensation:
Rep 1 : No-go even after checking with manager, explained the wireless and streaming credits, well.
Rep 2 : Same phrases about the wireless and streaming credits. But when asked to check with a manager, she mentioned that 'Let me see what I can help you with'. After long hold, came back saying that she can offer 5000 MR for being long time customer. Points posted within minutes as she mentioned in the call. Coded as Goodwill Adjustment.

I also checked for the Saks benefit, since my June transaction posted after July 1 due to the merchant shipping delay.
Though she mentioned she cannot reinstate the benefit or credit the transaction for expired Jan-Jun credit earlier, she offered a $50 statement credit later(mentioned that it'll be posted 2-3 days).

  • May be worth a shot, I'm working on Biz Plat MSR, actually used the card at SEA this month.

We also popped into PP Club at SEA for coffee and continental breakfast we landed at the N satellite. But CL still have much better foods.

But because of MSR deadline have ramped up organic spend while in AK.

May try my Biz Plat rep from the AZ Biz plat team to see about some como'd MR's .

All they can say is no.

  • Is there any info on how popular this Hyatt's Work from Home/Hyatt thing is?

I can't imagine people who are willing to pay 1k/week for an office would care about a small one-time discount all that much. Is the point of this promotion more to get the name and the idea into the conversation, or do they actually convert anyone with this promotion for the specific properties that are participating?!

If you look at the pricing of hotels these days, you can already rent a week in a 3* hotel for below $500/week, so, offering a discount where the total out-of-pocket cost is $1000+/week seems like an "interesting" proposition. The end of the year is usually when the occupancy rates are the lowest as-is, so, with the COVID19 remaining, the current prices will probably remain until at least 2021.

    • Sure you can. When you get to the "membership" page (*why* does the link on this page go there??), click the "Skift" icon at the top left of the page and voila, you're on their home page. You can read a few articles without subscribing.
