Our Verdict

This should be super useful for a lot of people. I’d recommend saving this to your card ASAP, as I assume it’ll hit the redemption limit quickly.

  • FWIW this offer was showing as available today on one of my cards, I'm not sure if they reposted it or if the redemption limit is very high.

  • I have my four $10 statement credits now (with three separate Walmart.com orders of $35 physical Wal-mart gift cards, and one Walmart.com order of email-delivery $15 & $25 Apple digital gift cards). No problems at all. All the physical gift cards have shipped (though nothing has arrived yet). The email-delivery Apple gift cards appeared in my inbox within minutes.

  • Activated the offer on my Amex BCP; Spend $35+ & Receive $10 Statement Credit
Just purchased a physical $35 Walmart Gift Card with the BCP on Walmart.com with a delivery date in 5 days.
    Immediately received email from Amex;

Thanks for using your American Express® Card ending in xxxxx for the Amex Offer below:

    Walmart.com
Get $10 back after you spend $35 or more. Up to 4 times (total of $40).

If your purchase meets all eligibility requirements of the offer terms, you'll see your rewards reflected directly on your statement. Credits may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled.

Should go through ok. Payment was in fact processed through Walmart.com.

  • Have recent offers like this still worked like $x back for every $y?

For example, if I spend $50 and $55, will I get back $30?
    ($50 + $55 = $105 / $35 = 3)

    • So the answer is yes and yes.

I did two grocery pickups for $37 and $40, then ordered a $64 physical Walmart GC.
      $37 + $40 + $64 = $141 / $35 = 4

One $10 credit posted, and I now see another $10 and $20 under Savings.

  • Got 5% back up to $40 on my Blue Cash Everyday card. Not as good as the offer mention here but I will take it anyway.

      • The e-gift cards go to a different checkout site that is most likely coded differently. Some cards that state "eCard" on top do use the same checkout, however.

        • Hmm, I haven't checked in a while, but last I know e-gift cards are processed by Walmart themselves, similar to p-gift cards, so I'd guess it'll work. Like Otto said, the e-gift card exclusion is likely only referring to bulk purchases.
If anyone tries, let us know.

        • i ordered physical gift cards and it trigered the email from Amex. Not sure e-card will trigger since it redirects to giftcards.walmart.com

          • I know walmart egift cards did not code for me on the discover 5%, so I would suggest ordering physical gift cards.
