  • perhaps a list of MCs/Visas/ETC? currently looking for a few card to plastic pay off a few car notes

  • Best credit cards for routine pet-related purchases (e.g., food, wipes, etc.)?

  • What are some under the radar churning friendly institutions offering good credit card sign up bonuses. I've exhausted the big ones or I'm ineligible to apply due to 5/24 rule, etc.

  • Hoping these can be added at some point to the lists above:

Cards that earn 5%+ cash back: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/5-cash-back-credit-cards/

Cards that earn 4%+ cash back:

Also the Credit Cards Reddit maintains a list of cards that earn 3% or more in various categories:

And one of 1.5%+ on everything cards:

    • Seems like they would be the ones with the highest flat cash back rate? Alliant FCU has 2.5% cash back. Many others earn 2% cash back.

Also could use one with a SUB to help towards reaching the spend amount.

    • I get 5% cash back on my State Farm bills since they accept Apple Pay and my HarrisTeeter credit card (there are other Kroger family cards with this as well) gives 5%
back on up to $3,000 of mobile payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc) per year.

Anyone know of other insu companies that accept Apple Pay or Google Pay?

        • I pay through the State Farm app on my iPhone. Not sure what methods they have in person. Sorry, meant to mention it wad through the app! It also might accept it on their website too 🤔

          • Thank you. On the State Farm desktop website, I cannot use Google pay, Apple pay or PayPal. I also cannot split payment between two different cards. So I call my local office and they will split between two different cards over the phone.

I will install the State Farm app next time I have a premium due and see if there are more options for me.

          • Usually, insurance comps allow multiple pays for the same bill, even on the same date. GEICO has a split-pay option for 2 cards. But, this time, I wanted to use 3 cards with $1 billed onto 2 cards to keep them annually active and the rest on another card. So, I just paid $1 each with two cards first and then the remaining on my 3rd card, all on the same day, same login.

FWIW, I'd strongly advise against installing ANY banking &/ payment "Apps" (and that includes the 99.99% other Apps as well that are also totally unnecessary) onto your phone as these scoop up and steal tons of data from your phone, all without even informing you. I'm a security expert and can see them stealing the data and so am aghast and perpetually amazed at how blissfully unaware all the sheeple (public) actually are about their own data and where all it ends up. Public can also (somewhat) see (at least a gist of) the data being stolen by installing the DuckDuckGo App and setting it in "App Protection" mode. Public do not understand that they do not need to install those shitty Apps to bank nor to make payments. They should just use Firefox/Brave desktop browsers only (with the most conservative security protections settings) and NOT use any extensions with them.

    • Both Chase Freedom card and Citi Custom Cash card have targeted offers right now for 5% cashback on bill payments that include insurance payments.

You can also try PayPal Bill Pay with Chase during 4Q 2023 for 5% cashback if you can get your insurance company to come up in PayPal's bill pay list and you have a Chase card with quarterly categories.

  • I got an email that I am pre-approved for the Huntington Cashback credit card with 3% cashback on all purchases for the first 12 months (1.5% cashback plus 1.5% bonus, with no cap).
