Wait the large mandatory section of Delta's check out page that threatens me with bad fortune if I don't buy insurance isn't the lowest cost pass through of insurance? Why would a corporation built on continually screwing consumers get paid to sell someone else's product?
Yeah, seems to me like pretty much anybody who's selling you any kind of insurance is going to be getting some kind of commission for it... That's how insurance agents get paid. I saw United offering trip insurance too, the last time I booked a flight with them; I assume they get paid for that too.
