Round Up Of New AmEx Offers: Sheraton, Delta, Ritz-Carlton & More

It’s the 1st of the month, that means American Express have just released a whole heap of new American Express sync offers. Here is a list of what is available, I’ve marked what’s available with a hashtag as well, along with a link to giftcardwiki to see resale rates for gift cards:

The following are targeted offers:

  • Delta: Spend $1,000 , get $200
  • EarthLink: Spend $25, get $25 back X 2
  • Brooks Running: Spend $100, get $20 back
  • DollarTree.com: Spend $225, get 4,500 Membership Rewards points (GCW: 75%)
  • Charming Charlie: Spend $50 and get $10 back (GCW: 60%)
  • Henri Bendel: Spend $200, get $50 back (GCW: 65%)

Probably the most useful offers are the Delta offer, the hotel offers and maybe even the dollar tree offer. Unfortunately none of them look profitable from a reselling gift card angle, but I haven’t really checked out portal payouts and the like yet. If you received an offer not listed, let us know in the comments.

  • Anyone use the $25 off $25 Earthlink AmEx Offer? Able to prepay for several months in advance, specifically, in $25 increments/payments?

  • Anyone have any success buying a ritz-Carlton gift card and still triggering the Amex offers $100?

  • I received many of the above including:

Dell.com: Spend $299+ and receive 5,000 MR points.

Can't wait to use the DollarTree (will be difficult), Dell and Ritz offers!

  • oh and I actually have the Ritz card too so have Gold status but working on my minimum spend on Marriott business.

  • What's the best use of earthlink.net
Have it on all my 6 cards. Could have been easy $300 but no idea what to do with the offer ?

  • I have an upcoming one night Ritz stay at $619 a night. Is it a better value to use my Amex card and get 1 point per dollar with $100 cash back or use my Marriott card and get 5 points per dollar spent?

    • Ok, I totally misread your question...How many nights is the real key here. For one night, Amex all the way, but for more nights the math changes significantly:

      For one night:
      Net w/ Marriott Card = $619 – $22 = $597 (3.5% discount)
      Net w/ Amex Card = $619 – $100 – $5 = $514 (17% discount)

      For two:
      Net w/ Marriott Card = $619 * 2 – $43 = $1195 (3.5% discount)
      Net w/ Amex Card = $619 * 2 – $100 – $11 = $1127 (9% discount)

      For three:
      Net w/ Marriott Card = $619 * 3 – $65 = $1792 (3.5% discount)
      Net w/ Amex Card = $619 * 3 – $100 – $18 = $1739 (6.3% discount)

    • Amex I think. Marriott points are worth roughly .7cents per point so your Marriott card works out to a 3.5% discount ($21.67) off. With Amex you get the $100 off plus 1x MR point on what's left so that's a discount of $105.19 I think.

      Net w/ Marriott Card = $619 - $22 = $597 (3.5% discount)
      Net w/ Amex Card = $619 - $100 - $5 = $514 (17% discount)

      • Thanks! I think I will ask them to put $500 on the Amex and then the rest on the Marriott.

      • Oh and you also get at least 10x Marriott points per dollar on the room rate (actually, I assume since you have the Marriott card you get Silver status and 12x Marriott points instead) which is roughly 7%+ off the room rate. Taxes get added in second here.

  • Thanks a lot for this. Was close to booking tickets from India for parents. Got this on both my AMEXs so will be able to save 400$!!

  • Lol $225 worth of products from dollartree.
Don't get me wrong. I love dollartree. They got some great deals, but $225 worth of product in one month is ridiculous where their average price is (SURPRISE) $1.

    • Yeah, the play would be to purchase a GC and use it for future purchases I guess.

  • Ritz excludes Gift Cards:

Offer only valid at The Ritz-Carlton in the US/US territories. Reservations must be made online at ritzcarlton.com, via the Ritz-Carlton App or by calling 800-542-8680.
