About Amtrak updating its app, I'd be far, far more impressed if they'd get with it on the delivery of broadband on their long haul trains..... Yes, the glitzy, everybody smilin, happy & whatever amtrak photos have you believe that staying connected is possible on them. Maybe for some.... yet in my limited experience, it's more often been miserably unreliable, slow, "throttled" back to prevent anything but the most basic wifi use, even subject to working only when near a staffed station.... (e.g. the Cardinal being esp. terrible, never mind the web site claim/lie that it has working wifi)
