The Offer
No direct link, targeted offer
- Get a one-time $100 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $500+ on room rate and room charges, when you pay for your stay at an InterContinental hotel
The Fine Print
- Valid for stays between 9/4/18 and 11/30/18
- Only valid for properties in the US
Our Verdict
U.S. restriction sucks. Don’t forget to sign up for the IHG double plus more promotion as well. If you have a stay after 11/30, you can usually call in advance and request the payment to be made and it will trigger the offer.

I was wondering the same thing - despite the exclusion, if you do an advance purchase through IHG's website on a Palazzo reservation, would it trigger the credit?
I have a reward stay coming up, and I assume I can use this offer for charges to the room.
Anyone know if AMEX FHR booking for Palazzo or Venetian will work for this offer? Does FHR charge at the end of the stay or does the hotel directly?
I believe it states that these are excluded
for these hotel offers: is direct booking mandatory, or do "pay later" reservations through expedia, etc. count too, as long as ihg charges amex at the end of the stay?
On the note of the US restriction - is there ever any AMEX hotel offers without it (other than AMEX travel portal)? I feel like they all do.
There was one recently on a Hilton brand that only worked in the UK I think
I didn't see any mention of not working with the purchase of gift cards. Does InterContinental sell gift cards and would buying one trigger the offer?
IHG doesn't sell gift cards
