Our Verdict

Update: As the comments point out, not worth it as you need a $70,000 balance to get the $375 bonus. Otherwise it’s only $225.

If you have exactly $30,000 in the account this works out to be 7% APY with the 4% base rate and the $75 monthly bonus. Worth considering especially with rates falling if you have a large balance that you’d like to tie up for a few months.

    • Was it your first ever Axos account? I'm just wondering why a lot of datapoints some people were denied the bonus from BankBonus.

      • No, I had a business savings account with them before that I closed two years ago. BankBonus uses a tracking cookie similar to every other cashback site. If your browser has anything that will interfere with tracking, that could lead to complications.

      • No. The effective APY of the first stage (25k) of the business checking offer is about 4.6%. The first stage (30k) of the business savings offer is about 7.0%. If BankBonus.com brings back their $150 gift card, it jumps to about 9.0%.

  • Never got $150 bonus. Contacted bankbonus.com and they got back saying Axos team said my account is not eligible.

    • Same thing here. And no reason given on why it is not eligible. They are behaving like scammers. Plus, I got the $75 bonus for Nov but not Dec - strange. Will definitely fight for this

        • I got the same run around for the $150 GC. This is unacceptable. If we get enough people complaining, they will probably listen - I don't think they want a class action.

  • Does anyone know if you can get a personal and business bonus in the same year? The terms are unclear.

  • I am currently doing the $150 Bank Bonus promotion (first time with BankBonus.com). The $2K deposit went into my account two days ago and I just got the email confirming that I've met all of the requirements for the $150 bonus and my expected payout date is by February 2025.

Is it now safe for me to withdraw the funds out of the account? Was planning on leaving a small balance in there, so it doesn't get automatically closed.
