Our Verdict

This works out to be a 16% annualized return so worth doing if you have some liquid funds that you want to earn a high rate. We’ve seen a previous bonus for up to $1,000 that was most likely better as the deposit requirement was smaller but there is no guarantee we will see that again so we will put this one on the list of the best bank account bonuses.

  • This bank refused to pay out the bonus despite meeting the requirements, as they deemed "my activity to undermine the intent behind the promotion." A CFPB complaint resulted in nothing but a FU response.

    Anyone have any luck increasing the dumb $1000 AHC limit? I have a call out to my local branch (hate that this bank requires you to do work with a branch versus simple stuff over the phone) but so far, no call back.

    • Ended up just using US Bank to do ACH pulls. FNB seems to be kind of a joke from a customer service perspective.

    I had opened a personal checking in 09/21 and closed it in 06/22 after receiving the bonus.

    Looks like just missed being able to churn this again in 2025, as the language is 1 bonus paid per calendar year.
