The Hemet gang strikes again!
I wish they'd offer a class action suit on the Fitbit HR (my last dog of a techno-purchase)... got a free replacement off of them, and that was no less of a brick than the original device I purchased. I was part of a multi-page minimum 5,000-post thread on its doggish behavior on the Fitbit forums, to the best of my knowledge nobody at the company ever fixed it... Gave one to my parents as a pedometer because at least I thought it would keep track of their walks if it did nothing else; my mother infamously resuscitated it (the lady is 70... I should try to make money off of her doing virtual IT troubleshooting), but it wasn't four months before it was back to all its old incompetent non-tracking tricks. They gave it up as a bad job and bought a new fitness tracker; if I had known, she could have had a crack at my Macy's-sourced Fitbit HR Brick #2, before shelling out money for a new one.
I'm shocked, shocked that Green Dot VGCs could have such poor security!
FitBit Settlement is basically click-bait. Very few models, only few states, with specific time-frames of purchase, 2014 and prior. @will I would suggest at least saying something like "Fitbit Flex, One, or Ultra models only" and limited states (13/50).
I got baited. I clicked. And surprisingly bought a Fitbit Flex around 8/14 in Illinois.
That's cool. But I feel like the FitBit craze hit after 2014... with the Alta, released in 2016, likely being the most popular. Glad someone is benefiting from the bait, but 99.9% are probably just giving DDG some advertising dollars.
No biggie, I was just joking on the click bait comment. I was rather surprised I registered one. Bought several Flex during that period for gifts. Never bought any other version, went with the Apple Watch in 2017 and never looked back.
And you still have the receipt? I can't remember where I bought mine sadly.
Apparently I registered it when I got it. It must have been required when I set up my account because I rarely register things.
