• America First Credit Union is offering a bonus of $100 (you need to show them a grocery store receipt and they will reimburse up to $100) when you open a new America First Credit Union checking account in branch. There doesn’t seem to be any bonus requirements?

• Offer applies only to new America First checking and savings accounts (not valid for secondary, business or special accounts), as well as confirmed download of free mobile banking, for members 18 and older.
• Expires 12/31/17.
• Up to $100 in store charges on one receipt will be reimbursed.
• Cannot be combined with any other offer.

• All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Avoiding Fees

They offer a free checking account, so no fees to worry about there, I wasn’t able to find any early account termination fee in the fee schedule.

Our Verdict

Shame about the hard pull otherwise this would be an easy $100 in groceries. They also have a $100 bonus for military members here but that bonus isn’t as good as this one. Real shame about the hard pull, because of that I won’t be adding it to our list of the best checking sign up promotions.
