    • Order a debit card and receive a $50 bonus

    • Sign up for direct deposit and receive $200 bonus

The Fine Print

  • All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Avoiding Fees

This account has no monthly fees to worry about.

Early Account Termination Fee

With other bonuses account has needed to be kept open for 180 days to avoid losing the bonus.

Our Verdict

There have been issues with ChexSystems sensitivity and some other issues with this bank in the past. Previous bonus was for $200, this is an extra $100 (all to the direct deposit portion). We will add this to our list of the best bank account bonuses.

  • @will @guest_1033141 @guest_1033040 @guest_1033086 FYI, I just got off the phone with them. They said you are not eligible for this bonus if you have had an account in the past year with them. Considering the last bonus was in February 2019 and you couldn’t close that account for 180 days without losing the bonus it’s cutting a little close for most folks. Personally, I was lazy and didn’t close my account until October so I’m not eligible until this October (if the offer even lasts that long).

To answer the business bank account bonus question, they do want your business to be registered with the state, or with your town/city if it’s a sole proprietorship. In other words, a little bit of hassle there unfortunately.

      • @guest_1033086 No problem. You closed your account in February? That would mean you closed it more than a year ago and would be eligible. Unless you really mean opened it in February and closed it around October like I did, in which case we cannot get the bonus until October 2020 if its even around by then.

  • There's also the $300 business checking offer I mentioned on the other page. It looks like there are NO REQUIREMENTS for the business bonus. I'm not sure how strict they are about opening business accounts as I'm not in CT. The business flyer can also be found using the same link in the post.

      • Sorry, got slammed with work basically all day and didn’t have the time to shoot them a call. Tuesday I will definitely reach out

  • Anyone else feel like it’s a pretty scummy move making in-branch only bank account promos during a pandemic? What’s the point?

Edit- Nevermind, I see its to promote their new locations. This leaves me wondering though, is this churnable? I had a Westfield bank account last year and got their bonus back then, not sure if I can get it again. I will call them when they are open on Monday and confirm, will let everyone know

    • yea i really can't believe banks are wanting to have people in their locations. they must be desperate for people to stop inside and get roped into some crappy .01% savings account.
