Our Verdict
Previously best offer was a $200 bonus. Bit annoying to keep the $450 bonus account keep fee free, but worst case scenario you can just do the $300 bonus instead. We will add this to our list of the best bank account bonuses.

An update to my original comment
I did get paid the bonus on 6/12. I decided to pull the $5k balance out in April and just eat the service fee, which I was charged in April, May, June, and July.
Once I got the bonus on 6/12 and subsequently transferred it out, the only activity on my account was a service fee charged 7/11. I called today, 8/4, to close the account, as it has now been 6 months since being opened and should be safe from clawback. The representative informed me my account was already closed. Something about because of the repeated service charges that they decided to close it.
Unsure if this will result in a clawback of the bonus, but I have not been charged an early termination fee (as of yet) presumably because they initiated the closing. Figured I'd share the DP.
I thought I woud not get the bonus since I messed up the second DD by transferring using Schwab checking that leads to a "P2P" transfer. Out of desperation I made an additional transfer from Schwab Brokerage on a fourth month. Somehow I still get the bonus - either the Schwab checking transfer counts despite shown as "P2P" or the counting window is more generous so that the fourth transfer counts.
3/26 Open in branch
4/1 Schwab Brokerage $3500
5/6 Schwab Checking $3500 - This was an accident. Shown as "P2P Transfer"
6/2 Schwab Brokerage $3500
7/8 Schwab Brokerage $3500
7/28 "Incentive Promotional Offer"
what does Serve DD mean ?
BONUS POSTED TODAY
3500 of real DDs May, June, and July
7/29/25 - $650 bonus posted!!
Same for me!
Real DD for $1001, Schwab Brokerage Transfer for $2501 for March, April, May and June.
$650 bonus posted 7/29/25
Can we update the post, you can complete the 450 bonus with the everyday checking, at least according to TOS
Did any get their account suspended after trying to transfer the money out? Called customer service and the rep told me the suspension was permanent, and I should just go to a branch and write myself a check. wtf??
Hey, what did you end up doing?
Went to a branch and had the banker call the customer service instead lol. Their IT system sucks
I hate the terms on this one, did the $650 promo.
Opened with $500 deposit 4/22 then $1800 real DD
5/9 & 5/23
6/6 & 6/20
7/3 & 7/18
I believe I can swap my DD to another promo, but that puts me at 3 months at $3500+ starting the month after I opened it. Anyone willing to confirm? Guessing it will pay out next month?
Online, MI -- Haven't opened any new accounts in a couple of months, so I gave ONB my 8th try. Still denied with Chex 829: 0/30, 0/2, 1/3, 6/6, 13/12, lol/24. Is this the most long-term Chex-sensitive bank on here? May try the route of getting a CD first; I think it was US Bank that I had to do that with. I also had tried going to ONB in-branch in 2023 with no luck; but I might try that again soon.
I would just forget about online applications since those always pull Chex. Quite a few of us have had recent success opening accounts (personal & business) in-branch with Chex frozen, so that might be worth a shot.
Help needed.
Opened the account on 3/18 for the offer $650 and received a real DD of 3700+ on March 31, April 30, and May 30. Read the post below and the offer terms and realize it needs to receive DD for three consecutive months "AFTER" the account opening month...which means I missed the June deposit...oh no...is there any chance I could still get the $650? I've just changed the payroll to this account again, and I hope July DD can help as well...
Probably not, but since you used real DDs you can call and ask about it. They might be willing to make an exception if you can convince them you tried to meet the intent of the offer but got confused on the timing.
Thank you so much…it’s quite confusing of three consecutive months after the account opened and how they define the starting month…
Just called, the entry level agent said to wait 120 days + 1 week or so without checking my deposit date details. Decided to wait and call them again later this month since the account was opened 3/18 and the “beg” for understanding…
How did it go, Josh?

I was previously denied online while lol/24 and I attempted in branch to the same effect. The banker’s demeanor instantly changed from friendly and bubbly to awkward once her computer pulled up the Chex section lol. I don’t think she could make the decision on her own and she was basically just relaying the system’s decision.
