- Add a checking account with activated Visa debit card
- Enroll in eStatements
- Enroll in direct deposit (minimum of $500 per month)
The Fine Print
- New PMCU members must open a primary share savings and checking account to qualify. Existing members that do not currently have a PMCU checking account must open a new checking account to qualify.
- Enroll in eStatements.
- Recurring direct deposit(s) totaling $500 or more must be set up within 60 days of account opening. Eligible deposits include electronic transfers from your paycheck, pension, or government benefits from an employer or government agency. Person-to-person payments and micro-deposits do not qualify as direct deposits for this bonus. (Micro-deposits are small verification deposits, usually under $1, used to verify account details.)
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
This account has no monthly fees
Early Account Termination Fee
Wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so unsure if there is any EATF.
Our Verdict
Looks like they might be ChexSystems sensitive or have an issue with opening out of state. Share your experiences in the comments below

I did actually receive the debit card but I never used it. I wonder if this would have auto posted if I had, or if maybe I just had to wait a bit longer. At least they were quick to respond.
Received a "$25 Reward Certificate" in the mail from Premier Members CU today. Needed to go to a reward website to create account then enter the certificate number. The redemption options included Amazon, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, Uber and a few other useful gift cards.
It appeared to be marketing for their checking referral program, the mail also included a referral code and the terms were "Share the referral code with friends. Each referred friend that opens a new checking account will receive a certificate redeemable for a $25 gift card or a variety of other rewards and you’ll receive one, too."
I knew they had a referral link for the money market account, but didn't know they also had a referral code for checking account. I wasn't expecting it but it was a nice surprise.
I found this info for those who want to know about ETF
Premier Financial Credit Union Fee Schedule
Closing of account within first six (6) months$10.00
I can't find this. Do you mind posting your source? You mentioned Premier Financial Credit Union but this is called Premier Members Credit Union
I think the one I posted is incorrect. I do not see a early account closing fee in their disclosures: https://www.pmcu.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Rate-and-Fee-Disclosure.pdf
Bonus was deposited after the first $500 DD.
1/9: Account opened
1/23: $510 Work DD
2/28: $300 bonus received
Bonus just got deposited, had to reach out via Secure Message. Never recieved my Debit Card, and I think that's why I never got the bonus when it posted for everyone else.
Opened: 1/10
Real DD ($501): 1/29
Real DD ($501): 2/12
Real DD ($501): 2/29
Bonus Posted: 3/10
You still got the bonus? I never received a debit card either, and that was the reason they gave for not giving me the bonus.
I’d like to close the account
Has anyone found a fee schedule?
No bonus and the secure message agent claimed that because I have not activated my debit card!! This is insane because the agent who helped in opening the account specifically said estatements and direct deposit. Which agency to file complaint to?
I’d like to close the account
Has anyone found a fee schedule?
(Posted in wrong box)
I never even recieved a debit card. Wonder if that's why I haven't recieved the bonus yet....Used real DD, and made sure to sign up for Estatements.
According to the terms, the bonus does require "activated Visa debit card." You can try explaining to them that they never sent you the debit card.
Just got the bonus Today, reached out on Friday to inquire about the bonus, and never recieving the debit card. Logged back in Today to a new Message, and also the bonus in my account. Thanks Shawn
