Amtrak has sent out an e-mail to loyalty customers letting them know that it has paused the expiration of points and all coupons (e.g companion passes, certificates etc) until September 25th, 2020. The e-mail also stated a number of reduced schedules and cancellations and states that Amtrak is actively evaluating changes to Tier Status.

Is the original rule: points will expire if no activity for 2 years?
