DP: I never received the $20 reward from PayPal. I signed up for 2 accounts during the promotion period for myself and my family, and didn’t get any reward.

How do you stack with PayPal for one month?
Each offer (Disney+ for $1.99 and PayPal $2.00 off) require using a specific link. It does not look as if there are any promo codes to use, which would seem to facilitate stacking. What am I missing?
Also, many comments refer to better discounts on the way. In searching the “archives“ on DOC, I didn’t find any offers for a discounted month, only one or 2 multi-month/ annual deals. Compared to Paramount+ which seems to offer a free month coupon code almost every month. Again what am I missing?
Thank you to the community if anyone can answer my questions.

@peter, I appreciate the response, but I guess I am still missing the concept of how you can stack when both the Disney+ page and the PayPal page require you to click their particular link.

PayPal offer
Choose a monthly subscription for up to $7.99/month and receive a $2 reward
To qualify for the offer, you must log-in to your account with PayPal, or create a new account, using the “Subscribe Now” link provided.
Once logged-in you will be redirected to the Disney site where you can subscribe to Disney+ using PayPal as your payment method. Within 21 days after completing the transaction, the reward will be made available to you to use on your next purchase with PayPal.
*Sign up for a new Disney+ monthly subscription (monthly retail price of up to $7.99/month) exclusively through the Subscribe Now link in the Invitation, using his/her Valid Account to pay for the subscription to receive a $2 USD PayPal voucher.
YOU MUST CLICK THRU link on the PayPal page

Disney+ home page
$1.99 For One Month*
Then $7.99/month.
*Disney+ offer valid until 11:59 PM PST on 11/14/21 and only for new Disney+ subscribers and returning Disney+ subscribers with no current active entitlement, who are 18 years of age or older. Upon redeeming this offer, you will be enrolled in an auto-renewing monthly subscription of Disney+ and you will be charged the then-current retail price (currently $7.99/month plus tax (where applicable)) on a monthly basis beginning at the end of your 1-month promotional offer unless you cancel your subscription before then.
YOU MUST CLICK THRU link on Disney+ page

I was under the impression that stacking would *only* work if you have a promo code to plug in at checkout, or the credit card you use has an offer (such as AmEx, Chase Offers and Bank of America BankAmeriDeals).

click the link on the paypal offer. i did that, then the disney page mentioned the same $1.99 offer (yes even though it’s not on the original paypal offer page). i signed up through there, already have the $2.13 charge on my paypal so that worked. we will see if I get the $2 but I assume I will. and if not, it’s $2 lol.

Is this a targeted offer by PayPal? I don’t see it in my PayPal Deals. I searched for Disney+ and came up with nothing.

Much like Merrill they treat you like a criminal if you try to sign up outside the USA with a USA credit card. Never, ever, color outside of the lines, per Disney.

Disney+. What’s the +? More rebooted shows like the other streaming services.

Just a quick data point: I signed up for the annual plan using the PayPal offer link. The quoted price of the annual plan via the PayPal link is $79.99, which is already low compared to the standard annual rate (and that’s before the $20 credit). However, after signing up I got a confirmation email from PayPal that I had been charged $90.52. I’ve submitted a ticket and am awaiting resolution. Just be aware that there seems to be some price discrepancy between the quoted price and the price PayPal bills to you.

Daniel Any chance you live in Florida? That’s one of the states that charges a streaming tax on top of sales tax. It’s about 13%.

I do live in Florida. This is the first I’m hearing of it. Searching online, I found FL has a Communication Services Tax, but it’s 7.44%. Do you happen to have a link to where you found 13%? Thanks!

Florida general sales tax? That’s around 6%. Then there are county level taxes. Not having state income taxes is just an illusion. You have to pay for it elsewhere.

Any thoughts on how to do this as current subscriber? Just cancel my subscription and sign up with a different email?

Have been thinking about pulling the trigger on Disney + anyway, this might be the time.

In theory: Get 1 month for $1.99, then buy an annual sub through PayPal, for $20 back. And doing it through Rakuten would net another $12.50.

Is my thinking right? And would I start from Rakuten, go to Disney, purchase through PayPal, and be good?

Also, I wonder if I could use the PayPal $2 back this month, and then use it again in a month for the annual sub? Or is it one-time use only?

Matt Paypal promotion terms specifically mentions to go through their link. May not work stacking with Rakuten. Not sure, just saying

Thanks. Yeah, I saw that, too, after I posted. Sounds like it might just be one or the other.

Ibotta has 75% back on Disney+ and the bundle today as well, up to $12.50 back, but seems to be only for new subscribers. In Ibotta search for Disney+ then ‘shop’, maybe it will stack with Paypal as the payment method?
