The Offer

Promo not live yet, will show here

  • Hyatt will launch their new promotion for stays between September 1st and November 30th soon. The break down is as follows:
    • Stay 5 nights, get 2,500 points
    • Stay 10 nights, get an additional 5,000 points
    • Stay 20 nights, get an additional 10,000 bonus points
    • Stay 30 nights, get an additional 17,500
    • Stay 40 nights, get an additional 25,00 bonus points

The Fine Print

  • Valid from September 1st until November 30th

Our Verdict

Even the easiest tier to hit requires 5 nights. Hyatt doesn’t have the biggest foot print so even when I’m traveling for work I’d struggle to hit the higher tiers. The lowest tier is only an additional 500 points per night, the highest tier is 1,500. I do value Hyatt points, but even at 2¢ per point that’s only a discount of $10-$30 not really enough to change my booking habits. When the promo goes live I’ll register just in case, but I can’t really see myself taking advantage of this one.

Does it stack with their dining credit promotions?

If I booked prior this offer, am I still eligible for this promotion?

This is perfect timing for me to combine the 10% back on award stays and with this with an upcoming 7 days at the andaz tokyo. Should ultimately get 2500 from this and and 17500 back from the 10%. awesome.

Any idea if this would stack with a status challenge? That would be really sweet on a mattress run.

To the guy above: I stayed pure award nights at Hyatt Regency Churchill this summer and earned 2500 bonus points from the promo.

If you have 2 rooms booked for one night does it count as 2 nights?

No. It would count as 1

that time when hyatt’s promotion amounts to 1/2 of what diamond’s used to get just for showing up (1000 point welcome amenity)! hyatt needs to bribe some of us despondent plat spg ppl to come back. this won’t do it….

to the guy above: award nights NEVER count for promotions with anyone.

This is not true. I earned bonus points from the last Hyatt promo with award stays.

Not defending Hyatt, but never say never!

interesting. how many nights did you have (trying to figure if it was a 1 stay fluke or not)? if it was cash and points- that’s different. those always count for hyatt. i’ve never had an actual award night count.

Award nights count for stay credit now with Hyatt and since then have counted for every promo.

this is completely false. with introduction of world of hyatt, hyatt began counting award stays as eligible stays towards status, and i’ve gotten benefits from all of their promos since that time when using award nights. andaz double night credit, 10% point rebate at regency, award nights counting towards brand explorer…all of these were used with points-based award nights and counted towards the promo. havent stayed at IHG a ton, but it is my understanding that award nights/free night certificates count for almost nothing there. I’ve had experience with award nights at hilton triggering various promos
