Paypal has been sending out an email offer on their Business debit card as they encourage people to upgrade to the new chip card:
- Get $10 cashback on any purchase of $50 or more. Max $30 in cashback from this offer.

- Valid through August 15, 2018
- Only valid for recipients of the offer via mail or email
Our Verdict
Lots of people have mentioned this, finally got around to posting this now. It’s obviously an easy offer to take advantage of. Beyond the initial 3 x $50 spend, there’s not much reason to use the card for ordinary purchases since the PPBDC only earns 1% back on purchases. It does not earn anything on PIN-based purchases, so only really makes sense to use it for non-PIN purchases which don’t allow credit card, e.g. it might be possible to use to pay taxes at the lower debit card fee.
