- Turnover Tuesdays – A Year Of Reselling by Oren’s Money Saver. A lot of good lessons learned by Oren, save yourself making the same mistakes by reading this post.
- How Budget Airlines Work by Youtube. Nice video on how the economics of budget airlines work.
- Lyft Is Once Again Offering 50% off Rides Incl Airports, plus $50 for New Customers by Point Me To The Plane. They are spending $50 million a month on customer acquisition and retention, that’s a crazy amount and not anywhere near sustainable. Still competition is only a good thing and I hope Lyft continues to challenge Uber.
- EasyJet to turn away ‘have a go’ fliers who arrive less than 30 minutes early by the Independent. I don’t really see how this can be for the passengers benefit if they don’t have checked luggage, why not just let them try to get to the flight on time and if they don’t leave on time. I really like ULCC’s, but sometimes I think they take things a little too far.
- Free Experian Credit Monitoring with AAA membership (for many) by Frequent Miler. I don’t think logging in for alerts is a massive deal, but this might be useful for some.
- Why I’ve Stopped Chasing Hyatt Diamond by The Deal Mommy. I die inside every time somebody says that they won’t travel somewhere because it doesn’t have their favorite hotel chain/airline there.
- Disney Family Alert: New All-Suites IHG Holiday Inn Waterpark 25k/Night by Rapid Travel Chai. Seems like a good deal for families to me, although in the comments somebody said it’s possible to find decent cash options so keep that in mind.
- See the secret airplane bedrooms where flight attendants and pilots sleep on long-haul flights by /r/pics. Good insight into the room that flight attendants and pilots have to sleep.
