Southwest announced Wednesday that Pay with Amazon will now be a payment option for onboard entertainment purchases.
Rather than paying with a credit card, Southwest customers using the onboard entertainment portal now have the option to purchase WiFi, messaging, and movies using Pay with Amazon. When asked for payment, customers can choose the Pay with Amazon option and will be directed to log in with their Amazon account credentials to complete their purchase.
A little surprising that they opted to start with Pay with Amazon and not the ubiquitous Paypal. In any case, it sounds like a convenient, new option.
