The Offer
- Receive up to 3,500 bonus miles when you use the American Airlines shopping portal. Here is the breakdown:
- Spend $125 or more and receive 500 bonus miles (4 points per $1 spent)
- Spend $500 or more and receive 1,250 bonus miles (2.5 points per $1 spent)
- Spend $1,000 or more and receive 3,500 bonus miles (3.5 points per $1 spent)
The Fine Print
- Promo period runs from 7/14/15 through 8/16/15 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”)
- Bonus will be based on your cumulative purchases during this period, bonuses don’t stack so you can only get one of them (e.g if you spend $1,000+ you’ll earn 3,500 miles not 3,500 miles + 1,250 miles + 500 miles).
- Returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products are not included in the bonus miles eligibility calculation
- Allow 8-10 weeks for the bonus miles to post
Our Verdict
An extra 3.5x miles on American Airline shopping portals is a nice little bonus, if they offer some good deals during this promotional period. Fingers crossed they do so I can score some extra AA points, if anything interesting pops up we’ll let you know.
