  • Keep in mind that you start earning bonus points on your second stay

The Fine Print

  • Register by March 31st, 2019
  • For stays through May 15th, 2019
  • Maximum point bonus of 50,000 (an extra 25,000 for Hyatt Place/Hyatt house stays)
  • Please allow two to three weeks after your qualifying stay for Bonus Points to be posted to your World of Hyatt account.

Our Verdict

I hate the second stay requirement, what if my first stay is a really long one? Free night awards do earn the bonus points so that’s nice. This is another one of those promotions where I sign up but it does absolutely nothing to change my booking behavior. Still a nice additional bonus for my Hyatt stays though so I’m definitely not complaining.

I have a stay booked using reward points for the first stay during the promotion period. My second stay is a week later, different property. I cant find any discussion in the terms whether the first stay has to be a paid stay or can it be a reward stay, does anyone know first hand? thanks

I called Hyatt today and the rep said that paying with points is considered paying an Eligible Rate for this promotion, so according to her stays booked with points (in addition to free night awards) should be eligible.

How many points do you earn per stay without the bonus? I’m staying 1 night this week and then 4 nights in March, will I get 6000 bonus points for those 4 nights in total?

When they say free night award do points bookings count or are they only referring to anniversary free nights or other free night certs?

I just registered for this promotion before checking out today 2/15 after a 2 night stay. Does this stay count?

I have a 3 night stay coming up, so what I will do is break it into 2 stays (1 night + 2 nights) at 2 different Hyatt hotels. That would give my second stay some bonus points

Yes but you have to ask yourself is it worth the hassle to pack up, check out, Uber/taxi/etc to go to another Hyatt and check in, unpack again and resettle, especially on such a short trip such as yours. I’d say it’s not worth it for just a two night stay and 2k-3k points.

I am confused on how a stay is defined when it says a free night award counts.

Does that mean you need to have a minimum 2 nights stay when1 night can be a free night award?

Or you can do one night stay with free night award an the stay still counts?

I have a 6 night (paid/reimbursed) stay planned…anyone thinks i can “force” by making a first stay using points (matress run)?
Or is it only free night awards?

I started a stay yesterday and check out Sunday. I’m assuming it won’t count for my first stay but does anyone know for sure?

Hyatt rep confirmed they go by checkout date so it will count as my first stay. Lucky for me.

I have mlife stays coming up that I booked through mlife directly. Is there a way to add my Hyatt account info to the reservation to get this promotion? Is it automatically linked since I have mlife/Hyatt status match linked? Thanks in advance.

It shows up automatically if the accounts are linked. If they don’t show up after 3 weeks, send a mail to [email protected] with your mlife stay Folio and Hyatt account info. They will take care of it.

How do you check if the accounts are linked already? I forgot if I linked them
