For a while, Walmart+ members have been enjoying a free Paramount+ subscription. Walmart announced that beginning on 9/15/25, members will be able to choose between the ad-supported plans of Peacock and Paramount+ at no additional cost. You can also switch between the two every 90 days.
This is a cool benefit of Walmart+ and the flexibility to now choose Peacock gives it more value.
Hat tip to reader Mike
Anybody know how to switch?
I’d like to switch to Peacock for the Premier League coverage but I’m not seeing anything about the Peacock benefit in my Walmart+ account pages
Probably because “… Walmart announced that beginning on 9/15/25” 🙂
Lol thank you. Devil is in the details on all this stuff huh
started to review the various WM+ benefits then noticed this shit for BK discount:
Current paid annual Walmart+ members, Walmart+ members participating in a third party offer with an indefinite end date, Walmart+ members who have already leveraged an offer from Burger King, Walmart+ Assist, Walmart+ Student, and paused Walmart+ members are not eligible.
wtf. this has to be a stupid ass joke. how does that work? i have WM+ via amex and cant link to BK.
I will sub again if they have both!
Cant believe WMT is providing more value than the credit card coupon books.
Serious Question: Who actually uses Peacock or Paramount+?
Peacock has a metric ton of soccer and a metric ton of reality TV (e.g. the bravo real housewives below deck love island etc etc segment)
There is a mid-50s gal at my work that blasts a soap opera in the break room during her lunch on Peacock.
I don’t have cable so if I want to watch any network shows, those are two of three needed.
For Star Trek TV series or movie fans, Paramount+ does have available every Star Trek TV series ever aired, such as Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Picard, and animated series like Lower Decks. Also, it has the Star Trek movies which Paramount made.
In the past, because we don’t want to pay money for any TV or cable subscriptions, we used Peacock to watch the Summer or Winter Olympics = We watched it on our laptop using Brave web browser to auto-skip ads, connecting the laptop via HMDI cable to our TV to watch on full sized screen.
For Star Trek fans, Paramount has every TV series ever aired such as Deep Space Nine, Picard, Voyager, Lower Decks, etc. Also has most movies made by Paramount, such as all the Star Trek movies.
Because we don’t receive good quality over the air TV signals in our area, in the past, we used free Peacock to watch the summer/winter Olympics on a laptop, connected via HDMI to our large screen TV.
TIP: I highly recommend using Brave browser to reduce ads.
serious answer : not me ……”ad-supported”….gtfo …hehe why pay to see ads.
Don’t see much difference than paying for cable where there are just as many ads and much more expensive. At least with streaming services you can pick up a month here and there.
Soccer fans. Peacock for English Premier League, Paramount+ for Champions League. Both for other niche soccer stuff.
This is a great benefit for me, personally, at least
UFC has signed a deal with paramount. I am looking forward to get paramount+ exclusively for this. Now I might just get Walmart membership due to this perk alone lol
Peacock has Telemundo telenovelas!
I think Instacart+ already gives Peacock, so this won’t add a ton of value for most of us.
I do wish that these freebies would have the ad-free version- or at least allow us to pay the difference to upgrade to it.
Not sure how the Peacock benefit will be implemented, but currently with Walmart+ you can pay the difference to get the ad free version of Paramount+.
Why did you leave out the most important part of this announcement:
“letting members pick between Paramount+ and Peacock, switch every 90 days and enjoy more value at no extra cost”
Added
Love this. I get Paramount+ with a sports message board subscription but will need Peacock for the upcoming college basketball season.
There’s too many streaming services nowadays. I wait till Black Friday and get whatever for $1/month… which still seems like too much.
But you can’t upgrade those $1 to no add like you can with Walmart.
Perfect for those of us with multiple amex cards…we can get both for free 🙂
